Introductory Explanation

This legal notice only applies to the sub-domain search.humanityy.com of the website humanity.com.  Please note that the website blog.humanityy.com is the blog of the organisation Humanityy, and the sub-domain search.humanityy.com contains the search engine proposed by the organisation.  The search engine is independent from the rest of the site and is subject to legal notices and separate conditions of use detailed further below.  It is therefore not subject to the legal notices and conditions of use of the blog or any sub- domain subsequently created, which comply with their own legal notices and conditions of use.

Humanityy is a French non-profit organisation governed by the 1901 Associations Law, with humanitarian and ecological aims.  Its president is Mr Yoann Hervouet.

2. Confidentiality of data and the use of cookies

Any personal data collected via the search engine site remains confidential and will under no circumstance be passed to third parties, with the exception of judicial authorities.  In fact, according to French law, Humanityy must pass the login data to the authorities upon their demand.  On the other hand, your details will never be passed on the toe organisations that you support, to our partners or to any other third party.  This commitment applies to the search engine site search.humanityy.com but Humanityy is not responsible for the content or data collection conducted on other sites presented in the search engine search results pages.

 

Humanityy informs you that a cookie will be saved on your computer.  This cookie is used to save information relevant to your navigation of the site and for statistical purposes.  In no case does it allow your identification.  If you wish, you may refuse to accept the cookie by doing the following:

For Mozilla Firefox:

  • Select the ‘Tools’ menu, then ‘Options’.
  • Click on the ‘Privacy’ icon.
  • Find the ‘cookie’ menu and select the options that you wish.

3.  Reporting illicit content

As a host, Humanityy does not edit nor moderate the content.  However according to article 6-1 of the Act on Confidence in the Digital Economy (21st June 2004), Humanityy must remove any illicit content reported by a visitor to the site.   Illicit content is anything that contravenes the French legal system, for example concerning intellectual property or media law.  This responsibility only applies to the content on the sub-domain blog.humanityy.com, and Humanityy can under no circumstances be held responsible for the content of sites presented in the results pages of the search engine or accessible from hyperlinks.

4. Failure and unavailability of the search engine

Humanityy cannot be held responsible for the temporary or permanent unavailability of service, simple technical failure or a ‘bug’ preventing the normal operation of the site, particularly if the bug interferes with the clicks, or in the event that the clicks are nullified and therefore do not generate any revenue.  Humanityy may not be blamed for incidents that may arise from the internet connection, the host, or of their own accord.  Nevertheless Humanityy will endeavour to do everything possible to resolve the technical problem with minimal delay.  Humanityy must also inform the search engine users of any technical difficulties, on the home page.
